Please be advised that we don’t amputate the tail on our puppies because we follow the higher Rottweiler Standard in the world, the FCI Standard, who mandates a natural tail. A natural tail will let us show Internationally our Rottweilers. Even our Canadian breed Standard (CKC) is now changed since January 2006 to allow the natural tail. We know that puppies with tail begin walking sooner, open their eyes earlier, have much better balance and swim better too. As trainiers, it is also easier to “read” a Rottweiler with a tail. You have to know that amputate a tail on a new born puppy is crual. As no remedies can be givin to them to relieve the pain during and after the amputation, puppies are crying during manys hours, somes puppies will even refuse to drink during fews hours such they have pain and will loose weight during 1-2 days. So for all thoses reasons, and especially for the love of the breed, we are more than happy now to leave the natural tail on ours puppies .
